Upon her return to Singapore, Ping Qi has worked with clients in the public service and community sectors for 10 years, focusing on providing psychotherapy to children, youths, adults and families. She has also provided clinical consultation and supervision to professionals in community sectors, enhancing their clinical skills and practice. Outside of her clinical practice, Ping Qi serves as a lecturer at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where she is deeply committed to nurturing and shaping the next generation of mental health professionals.

Despite her clinical background, Ping Qi experienced the personal challenges of motherhood and faced many difficulties when adjusting to her new role as a mother. This led her to recognise the lack of specialised services provided by trained professionals for mothers. She went for further training and became the first Singaporean psychologist to be certified in Perinatal Mental Health by Postpartum Support International. Drawing on her unique blend of professional expertise as a psychologist and personal experience as a mother, Ping Qi is dedicated to empower women and mothers. She strives to help mothers rediscover themselves, navigate their new roles, and provide them with the necessary tools to become the parents they aspire to be.

Ping Qi’s interests extend beyond psychology as she is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with specialised training to work with pre/post-natal clients and children. This holistic approach aligns with her passion for promoting overall wellness with her clients. Her personal life revolves around her family, including her two young-age children and their Corgi. She finds grounding in activities such as traveling, and sewing.

Ping Qi is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Ping Qi is happy to answer your queries on maternal wellness and perinatal mental health issues.
