Celebrate Romance and Comedy with SRT’s Shakespeare In The Park: A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park is finally back! Shakespeare fans, get ready to enjoy the bard’s most popular comedy – A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the romantic night sky in Fort Canning Park soon, in May!

The first-of-its-kind Family Bonding Event

You can once again look forward to rolling out your picnic blankets and sumptuous spreads under the night sky to enjoy this romantic comedy filled with mischief and magic. This event is great for the family-bonding time, date nights, and connecting with friends for a meaningful experience.

Led by the award-winning director, Guy Unsworth and artistic director of Singapore Repertory Theatre, Gaurav Kripalani, the show will also feature inspiring musical sensations by Local composer Mervin Wong.

Synopsis

The Fairy King and Queen are at war, four young lovers have eloped to the forest, and a group of tradesmen are rehearsing a play. But it is Midsummer Night and Puck, as chief mischief-maker, is pulling pranks to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth. Puck’s magic spells cause the lovers to change their allegiance, and one of the tradesmen, Nick Bottom, undergoes a shocking transformation.

Can the magic of fairyland be reversed before sunrise or will Athenia be turned upside down forever? Find out in this evening of theatrical wonder at another Shakespeare in the Park spectacle.
