Pokémon fans rejoice! The pop up cafe in collaboration with Everything with Fries (EwF) is back with a new concept based on the recently launched Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games. The second pop up will only be around from 24 November 2016 to 19 February 2017, so don’t miss it again if you didn’t manage to visit the first time round!
The cafe and dishes are Aloha themed, which is the region featured in the new Pokémon games!
Everyone’s favourite Japanese curry rice is served as Pikachu Smiling Aloha Region Curry Rice ($25)! The big Pikachu face is made of turmeric rice and it is served with omelette ears and Panko-crumbled shrimp patty.
Mash potato with chicken patty wrapped in a cute yellow Pikachu crepe and paired with tomato rice and brown sauce. It’s so cute that we couldn’t bear to dig into I Love Pikachu Patty ($20)! You can even bring home the ketchup bottle, aptly named Pikachu’s Favourite Ketchup.
Quench your thirst after queuing with a tall cup of Ice Island Tea ($12), modelled after the Aloha version of Exeggutor. Did we mention that you can bring home the very special bottle and the charm?
Experience a visual effect with Aloha Region Volcano Cake ($25) which resembles a volcano in Aloha as the Pokéball lid uncovers to reveal an edible volcano made of an inverted chocolate ice cream cone sitting on a sea blue crepe created to mirror the ocean. Pour the strawberry sauce over the volcano to make it look like molten lava!
Pikachu’s Jelly & Pokéball Cream Puff ($18) in front is a mix of Pikachu jelly (don’t worry it’s not made of real Pikachus), Pokéball Cream Puff and mixed fruit cocktail. Pour over the dark chocolate sauce for an extra punch! Volttackle Is Strong ($15) at the back is marshmallow praline cake with caramelised marshmallow and berry sauce.
Raspberry ripple ice cream sandwiched with sweet buns served with whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries plus Rare Candy, and you have Pikachu’s Ice Cream Bun, Level Up With Rare Candy ($18).
