The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 as it is widely known, is the annual video game conference showcasing numerous exciting video game titles and platforming devices dropping this year.
So, what about the latest releases set to entertain and excite kids across the globe? It’s not all bloodshed and violence with video games – there are elements of exploration, creativity and problem solving for your child.

Pokémon Sun & Moon

Expected to release later this year, the Pokémon franchise continues to carry its legacy from generation to generation with its exploratory Pokémon-collecting based theme. Over the years Pokémon has taken on multiple forms, including television shows, comic books and even trading cards. Nintendo is celebrating 20 years since the launch of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in Japan, and now the next generation of Pokémon games is finally here!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Another Nintendo contender and one of the biggest highlights at the E3 convention, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, makes our list. LEGO Dimensions

This Lego-themed action game published by Warner Bros has been around since September 2015. However, we get to meet new characters this year! Expect to see famous faces like Harry Potter, Finn & Jake from Adventure Time, and Beast Boy from Teen Titans, all set to make an appearance in the next instalment of LEGO Dimensions.

Skylanders Imaginators

Unleash your child’s imagination with Skylanders Imaginators. This is the sixth release of its kind since its first in 2011. Produced by big-name publisher Activision, Skylanders introduces an external platform that allows players to use in-real-life action figures on the “Portal of Power”, a device that reads the figurines and puts them in the game as a playable character.
