5 kid-friendly wrap recipes they'll love to eat

Switch up the boring PBJ sandwiches you’ve been giving your kids with one of these hearty and nutritious wrap recipes for kids. Delicious!
Not only are these soft flatbreads healthy (the wholemeal/multi-grained ones especially!), they also give you plenty of room to get creative. Here are 5 recipes ideas your child will love to get you started.
BREAKFAST BURRITO
This tasty burrito is packed with nutrients. The perfect way to kickstart their day.

What you need:
Tortilla wraps
Eggs
Spinach
Mushrooms (diced)
Cheddar cheese
Olives (optional)
Salt & pepper
How its done:

  1. Scramble eggs to desired consistency, add salt and pepper to taste
  2. Saute spinach by allowing it to cook for approx. 5 minutes over medium heat
  3. Sir-fry diced mushroom
  4. On a fresh tortilla wrap, place sauteed spinach, eggs, mushrooms and sliced olives (optional). Fold to form a wrap
  5. On a dry pan, heat both sides of the tortilla wrap until golden brown
  6. Add cheddar cheese, let it melt on freshly browned wrap

EASY AVO-EGG WRAP
For busy parents who still want to prepare their children’s meals, you have to try this recipe!

What you need:
Tortilla wraps
Avocados
Lemon
Eggs
Salt & pepper
How its done:

  1. In a bowl, mash avocados. Add a squeeze of lemon and salt and pepper to taste
  2. Fry the egg
  3. In a separate, dry pan, heat tortilla wrap on both sides until golden brown
  4. Spread mashed avocado, top with fried egg
  5. Finish with salt and pepper to taste

CHICKEN & POTATO WRAP
Hearty and healthy, you can play around with different spices for this one!

What you need:
Tortilla wraps
Chicken (grilled)
Potatoes
Buffalo cheese (optional)
Cucumbers
Onions
How its done:

  1. Boil potatoes and slice into 1cm wedges when cooked
  2. Lightly pan fry sliced potatoes, leave to cool on a paper towel
  3. Shred grilled chicken
  4. Thinly slice cucumber and onions
  5. On a dry pan, heat tortilla wrap on both sides until golden brown
  6. Place shredded chicken, wedged potatoes, sliced cucumbers and onions on browned tortilla wrap
  7. Add chunks of buffalo cheese (optional)

5-STEP BREAKFAST WRAP

How it’s done:

  3. Grate carrots

  5. On browned tortilla wrap, place eggs, ham and carrots

Cherry tomatoes
Avocado
Lemons

How it’s done:

  1. In a bowl, mash avocados. Add a squeeze of lemon and salt and pepper to taste
  2. Shred chicken
  3. Slice cherry tomatoes into halves/quarters
  4. On a dry pan, heat tortilla wrap on both sides until golden brown
  5. On browned tortilla wrap, place lettuce, shredded chicken and cherry tomatoes
  6. Finish with salt and pepper to taste
