Aqua Spinning

This is probably the safest exercise we know for all mummies-to-be out there, since it is conducted in the water. But what is it really? Aqua Spin combines the principles of classical stationary cycling (spinning) with the healthy and soothing powers of water.  The benefits of water buoyancy and resistance help to create a more efficient exercise than land-based workouts. Motion and sequences are especially gentle and combined with the reduction of gravity stress; protect your health, bones, joints and muscles.

It is the perfect solution for pregnant women, seeking prenatal exercises or looking to ease their water retention problems. This is because water absorbs the additional weight, thereby putting less strain on the body.

Classes are in 45min sessions and are available daily.

The BellyFit programme works several muscles groups at the same time, concentrating on strengthening and stabilising the core. With its carefully controlled approach, BellyFit will not only help to improve your core strength, but also your balance, coordination and the quality of your movement, without placing stress on your joints. Your body awareness will also increase, and you will learn to relax and breathe correctly which will be beneficial in labour.

The BellyFit Programme is conducted in a small group (up to 6 persons) with an experienced women’s health physiotherapist as the instructor.

Breathe Pilates

Breathe Pilates’ Preggi Bellies class ensures that you will have the strength and flexibility required to control your body in daily activities, even with a baby bump. Specialising in clinical Pilates, and with studios in Novena and on the East Coast, the Preggi Bellies class uses reformer equipment to work your core and keep those back muscles strong throughout pregnancy. Mummies-to-be can join the class from the start of their 2nd trimester till right before birth.

Preggi Bellies classes are available almost everyday across their two locations.

True Yoga

For mummies-to-be in their fourth to eighth month of pregnancy, prenatal yoga can be an ideal way to stay in shape during pregnancy as it keeps you limber, tones your muscles, and improves your balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on your joints. It improves blood circulation in the body and also stimulates the organs and glands. Learning various breathing techniques can also help you relax.

Classes are in 1 hour sessions, with 3-4 classes available daily.
